PCCOE wins first place in the country in Astroverse Akshayaan 2026

Pimpri, Pune (October 10, 2026) PCCOE’s Team Anantam has won first place in the ‘Astroverse Akshayaan 2026’ competition. This is a significant step taken by this team towards the Indian aerospace sector. Team Anantam should continue its journey towards taking on new challenges and reaching greater heights in the field of rocketry and space research. Congratulating the successful students, Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust said that the necessary facilities will be provided to our students to develop their capabilities in the field of aerospace and space technology in the future.

Team Anantam – Rocketry and Space Research, a student team from Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Akurdi, of Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust, has achieved remarkable results in the ‘Astroverse Akshayaan 2026’ competition and has won first place in the country in the Solid-fuel Rocket Motor Launch category. The rocket ‘Astra’ reached a height of 973 meters and is the only team in the competition to launch a rocket and also recover it successfully.
Organized by Astroverse in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, teams from 20 renowned engineering colleges from across the country participated in this competition. Team Anantam of PCCOE won the first prize. The team was felicitated with Rs 30,000/-, a memento and a certificate by co-founders Shubham Kumar and Ajay Rawat.

Team Anantam Rocketry and Space Research is a student-led rocketry and aerospace research institute operating under the Motor Sports Council of PCCOE, Pune.

The team that went to the competition included faculty coordinator Dr. Jayesh Chordiya, Team Head Vivekanand Zhambre and members Divya Patil, Omkar Patil, Kushal Sarode, Mansi Kataria, Anushka Kalantre, Soham Sapkal, Sakshwat Bhusare, Pratham Bokephode, Madhav Joshi.

Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust President Dnyaneshwar Landge, Vice President Padmatai Bhosale, Secretary Vitthal Kalbhor Treasurer Shantaram Garade, Trustee Harshvardhan Patil, Entrepreneur Narendra Landge, Ajinkya Kalbhor, Executive Director Dr. Girish Desai, PCCOE Director Dr. Govind Kulkarni, Deputy Director Nilkanth Chopde congratulated the successful students and mentors of Team Anantam, Research and Development Dean Narendra Deore, Dean Dr. Padmakar Deshmukh, Associate Dean Amit Panchwadkar and Faculty coordinator Dr. Jayesh Chordiya and Dr. Ashwini Shinde.
