PCCOER Receives Best College Award from Savitribai Phule Pune University

Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust’s Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering and Research (PCCOER) has been conferred with the Best College Award (Professional Urban) by Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), marking a significant milestone in the institution’s academic journey.
The award was presented during the university’s anniversary ceremony in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Suresh Gosavi and Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Parag Kalkar. The honor was received on behalf of PCCOER by entrepreneurs Narendra Landge and Ajinkya Kalbhor. The award comprised a cash prize of ₹1.5 lakh, a memento, and a certificate.
Director of PCCOER, Dr. Harish Tiwari, Deputy Director Dr. Rahul Mapari, Registrar Prakash Yewle, along with other senior officials, were present at the ceremony.
Established in 2014, PCCOER has rapidly emerged as a leading engineering institution in the region. The college has been accredited with NAAC’s prestigious A++ grade, secured NBA accreditation for four departments, and received approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Further strengthening its academic stature, PCCOER has been granted autonomous status for the academic year 2025–26.
Currently, the institute caters to over 3,000 students and boasts a strong research-oriented faculty, with 44 professors holding Ph.D. degrees and 55 faculty members pursuing doctoral research. PCCOER has demonstrated remarkable achievements in innovation and intellectual property, having filed 419 patents, published 285, received approval for 50 patents, and successfully commercialized three. The institution has also been recognized twice by the World Records of India for its exceptional contribution to copyrights and patents.
