Pimpri, Pune (April 22, 2026)<\/strong> Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust’s “PCCOE Job Fair 2026” organized at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Nigdi, achieved remarkable success by reaching a major milestone in terms of employment generation. PCCOE, Government of India’s Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT), Maharashtra Association of TPOs (MaTPO) and All India TPO Association (AITPO) organized this grand employment fair in collaboration with 205 renowned companies from across the country. Together, these companies conducted online exams, group discussions, technical interviews and personal interviews for more than 15,000 vacancies. Which included job, apprenticeship and internship opportunities. A total of 13,991 candidates had registered online for this initiative. A large number of diploma, degree and postgraduate students from various disciplines participated. 2,223 candidates were given jobs through this extensive selection process, informed Dr. Shitalkumar Rawandale, Dean, PCET Central Placement Cell.<\/p>\n

Students from various districts of the state participated with great enthusiasm. In this job fair, Cummins India, Piaggio Vehicles, Dana Anand India, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, Varrock Engineering, Mahindra & Mahindra, Jaihind Industries, Hyundai, Atlas Copco, Schindler India, Texmo Industries, Faurecia, Brembo India, Premium Transmission, Sandvik, Lumax, Fiat India, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Eaton, Bharat Electronics, Flash Electronics, Exide Industries, Tata Autocomp, Forbes Marshall, JBM Auto, Uno Minda, Mahindra & Mahindra, Dhoot Transmission, B. G. Shirke Construction, Harmon International, Continental, Jabil Circuit and Lear Automotive India were actively involved. This provided opportunities for students to build careers in renowned industries.<\/p>\n

The job fair was inaugurated by Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) Director P. N. Jumle, Deputy Director N. N. Vadode, Deputy Director Rujuta Bankar, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, Secretary of National Institute of Personnel Management Navnath Suryavanshi, Founder of Vibrant H. R. Minds Deepak Khot, Dean Dr. Shitalkumar Ravandale and others.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, Dr. Jumle said that the Central Government has provided Rs. 250 crore as a share of the Central Government’s scholarship to the candidates in the year 2025-26 through the National Apprentice Training Scheme for technical and non-technical trainees. More than 1,51,000 candidates were given apprenticeship opportunities by 5,500 establishments in the western region of the country. After completing a one-year training period, these candidates are given a skill proficiency certificate, which will be considered as job experience. As per the Apprenticeship Act, it is mandatory for companies in all sectors to appoint candidates under the National Apprentice Training Scheme. Candidates with educational qualifications like BE, BTech, B Pharmacy, Architect, and now BSc, BCom, BBA etc. can also participate by registering on the portal www.nats.education.gov.in. Selected graduate candidates are given a minimum stipend of Rs 12,300 and diploma holders are given a minimum stipend of Rs 10,900. Out of this, 50 percent is from the central government.<\/p>\n

Deputy Director, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Rujuta Bankar said that acquiring skills and practical work experience in corporate organizations that are at the forefront of innovation is very important for success. Therefore, while looking for a permanent job, it is important to get an internship experience. Under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme’ launched in 2024, the Government of India provides internship opportunities to youth between the ages of 18 to 25 in leading corporate organizations in India and provides them with a monthly stipend of Rs. 9,000. The internship period is 6 to 9 months. Students with ITI, diploma, degree, postgraduate and those who have passed 10th and 12th are eligible for this scheme. Bankar said that information for this internship is available on the website www.pminternship.mca.gov.in.<\/p>\n

Along with diplomas, companies should also give opportunities to degree students, said Vadode. Welcome and introduction were given by Dr. Sheetalkumar Rawandale, moderated by Roshni Godbole.<\/p>\n

N. Jumle, Deputy Director N. N. Vadode had special guidance.<\/p>\n

PCET Central Placement Cell Dean Dr. Shitalkumar Ravandale, Prof. Sandeep Pillewar, Prof. Rishikesh Pandey, Prof. Vijay Tope, Prof. Deepak Wagh, Prof. Heena Sharma, Prof. Denzetta Lobo, Prof. Payal Kale, Mangesh Kalbhor and more than 200 student representatives worked hard in the successful organization of this job fair.
